Lamb of God have done it again! except this time they've upped the anti! Driving riffs, killer solos and awesome vocals. A must buy for any heavy metal fan.

Not even funny how good this is

The band's fourth full length album, if you include burn the priest, is the very one that fired them into the mainstream of metal. And if you take your evidence from these eleven slices of supreme goodness, Rightly so.

Obviously the first three tracks here are classics, each embeded in lamb of god's setlist.

But it's on tracks like Omerta and Remorse is for the dead that the feel of this album comes across, although palaces may have been full of confidence, this displays the kind of attitude Lamb of god have been wanting to show.

Evidently Randy Blythe in ways, paeks on this record and the instrumental track Ashes of the wake, boasts the musicianship of Mark Morton, Willie Addler and friends...

Overall, if you claim to call yourself a fan of metal, and have not heard this album BUY BEG OR STEAL A COPY RIGHT NOW.

    And, enjoy.

     Metal as it should be.

People will argue about metal genre, what it represents, how it should sound, how it's defined, which is " the greatest" metal band etc.Lamb of God, it seems don't give a **** about all that stuff. They don't try to "copy","beat" or "surpass" some other band. They simply play the music they like, and we all enjoy the results. One of those results is "Ashes of the Wake", yet another amazing album. With every song being original, both lyricaly and instrumentaly, and having unique "feel" to it.There's aren't any "fillers","less good" or bad song, they're all amazing and distinctive.Recommended to all metal fans regardles of their preferences.

     Essential Metal

This album is really when LOG hit the mainstream.
I kick ass album that will have you headbanging and begging for more all the way through.
Mortion and Willie's once again create some of the greatest riff's of all time, Chris once again proves he's one of modern days best drummers, Blythe's vocals are as demonic as ever and relibale Campbell slaps down them heavy bass lines time and time again.
Every song could be a release single.
Must have for any metal fan

Crushingly heavy. Astonishingly beautiful. One of the greatest metal albums of all time. Laid To Rest is a metal anthem that should be hailed as genius. Phenomenal.
