This is the best album ever. If youv'e bought the very poor only_by_the_night and thought that was good, then you will love this album. It is the best album of all time. A must have for anyones cd collection.
If you like any of their songs this is worth the money

A really good debut album put KOL on the map and rightly so.
I got this after buying Because of the Times and its more what i thought i was going to get from them. They showed at Glasto what they are about.
Definately an album for your collection.
Brilliant

This is one of my favourite ever albums. It's one of those albums you can never tire of, no matter how many times you listen to it. My personal favourites from this album are 'Slow Night So Long', 'King of the Rodeo', 'Pistol of Fire', 'Soft'... actually forget that, the whole album is lyrical and musical genius. His voice is so unique and in my opinion a perfect sound for this type of music. I find myself humming or whistling all of the songs from this album quite frequently which goes to prove that it is memorable. Buy it if you don't own it already. If you own it, I'm sure you'll agree with me.
A must buy

All three albums have a different sound which are equally amazing. Start to finish i love this album and slow night so long is such an amazing opener. Four kicks, taper jean girl, milk and razz are the songs that mostly stand out, but i have to say that each song is amazing. KOL at there finest.

I bought Because of The Times and liked it , only had one complaint - i like faster paced rock. I heard Four Kicks on Tv and was really impressed so i tried this album and wasn't let down one bit. Amazing album with not one bad tune. Highlights for me would be: Slow night so long, Taper jean girl, Soft, the amazing four kicks and Velvet snow
WOW

This album is KOL's finest.
From start to finish you will be mesmerized by the sheer quality of Matt & Caleb plucking out some guitar classics.
Four Kicks & Razz are stand out songs.

Top 10 Music Reviewer
Classy, raw, edgy and delivered in a proper sense of style. Caleb's vocals are a perfect for his lyrics and the razor sharp attitude that's displayed throughout.
Kings of Leon are the only modern band so far to where their hearts on their sleeves so readily that the actual sound of their albums change as they go on, to co-incide with their success. As with this CD, they have matured as a band but their newer, higher status now means that they - as people - have gone a bit off the rails.
Stand out tracks include Slow Night So Long, King of The Rodeo, Day Old Blues, Four Kicks and pretty much every song in between.
Before in Youth & Young Manhood the naive bafflings of kids who were TRYING TO punch above their weight was evident.
And, after, with Because of The Times, a real settle-down time is evident in their approach to music writing. It's also the CD where they have allowed their influences to become more readily displayed.
Kings of Leon are a mighty force of a band. The King is dead, long live the Kings.
