what stops this being a 5 star album? 'Dancehall' It just seemes very weak and out of place on an otherwise great album. Last of the dreamers provides a perfect opening and this is maintained throught the punky Wer are angry to the strong message displayed ijn 5 bottles of shampoo.

I have been a long-running fan of The King Blues, but after hearing a few of their downloadable tracks from last year I was not holding out much hope for this latest installment, and also after hearing a lot of the fans saying they had "sold out" and were forgetting about their old fanbase, and becoming a lot more mainstream.
In fairness the album does feel a little more poppy and mainstream than previous installments musically, but lyrically they are still maintaining their unique style and in this way each track is brilliant, and if anything the album just feels a lot more mature in terms of subject matter.
Overall I would say that this is decent album of extremely well written music, not quite as good as their earlier work in my opinion, but they are still a brilliant band and it's always nice to listen to music with a message from a band with something to say.
7.5 out of 10.
