This is the debut album by my fave indie band the verve.
If you're new to the verve buy Urban Hyms 1st then A northern Soul 2nd then buy this album.
Slide away is briliant straight out rocking.
Already there is mellow & psychedelic great for chilling out to.
Buy this album & chill out over the summer months

long before the verve hit the mainstream with urban hymns,back in 93 a storm in heaven was released.this is far away from that hits packed album,theres no bittersweet symphony here.just songs that make you drift away a really trippy psychedelic experience.this is the verve's best album.

After their debut EP- Voyager 1 things looked good for this band. A Storm in Heaven does not fail to deliver. Such an under rated album which is over shadowed by Urban Hymns.
This album has to be the origin of any serious fan of The Verve, and exploring this music will inspire you on to much more.
Outstanding tracks include Slide Away, Blue and Virtual World.
