Some of the strongest CCR tracks but but not the best album

This 1970 album from John Fogerty's Creedence Clearwater Revival once again featured several covers, notably a storming 11 minute version of Barratt Strong and Norman Whitfield's "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" (which in my opinion, as a rock fan, is even better than Marvin Gaye's version) some 6 years before Sting's early band Last Exit covered it (ah memories of seeing them play it for free on Sundays at The University Theatre Bar, Newcastle and playing CCR's version in the Newcastle University disco around the same time).
A plethora of well known strong singles (and some ace B-sides) in the form of "Travelin' Band", "Long As I Can See The Light" (featuring one of the dirtiest and best sax solos ever), "Up Around The Bend" (with equally good B-side "Run Through The Jungle") and "Who'll Stop The Rain" make it a strong album though not their best. It is perhaps let down by some of the covers like "Ooby Dooby" and "My Baby Left Me".
I almost forgot to mention that you get the B-side of "Travelin' Band", the John Fogerty original "Lookin' Out My Back Door", recently covered by metal band Children Of Bodam on their latest album "Blooddrunk" at a somewhat faster pace.
The album is worth the money just for "Grapevine" and "Jungle" alone but with all those singles it's probably a bargain.
