 Lucky Number 7!

7 Albums in and The Black Keys are at last coming to get the recognition they deserve in this country. I've been a fan since the howling blues rock of their debut album and followed them closely on record and live every time they've come to the UK.

Each album is a step forward from the brilliant first record and the addition of Danger Mouse on production for the last 2 albums has given them the extra little kick they needed to fill out their sound and produce music of the highest quality.

I listened to this album about 10 times in the first two days I had it and it's still playing out of my PC, car, Ipod and PS3 at every available opportunity! It gets better with repeated listening.

Well done guys, long may the quality continue!

 Legend in the making!

Theres been a lot of hype lately surrounding The Black Keys, but once you've listen to this, you'll know what all the fuss is about. Truly magnificent album, there best by far. And play it "LOUD" !!!!!

 Simply brilliant!!!

This album opened my eyes (or ears) to how awesome blues rock really is.
This may be the album that could get anyone into this genre.
Well played Black Keys, well played.

 the black keys go mainstream?

at first you think: ah, lonely boy, great single, a hell of a song.
but: the black keys?
the next songs make you even wonder more: some of them are pure blues rock as usually delivered by the black keys (hooray!), some of them are more... poppy so to speak. not really commercial mainstream radio stuff, but never the less not your typical black keys. but don't be mistaken: it still is great music!
diversification? no problem with that, since the quality still stands out.
