This album opened my eyes (or ears) to how awesome blues rock really is.
This may be the album that could get anyone into this genre.
Well played Black Keys, well played.

  the black keys go mainstream?

at first you think: ah, lonely boy, great single, a hell of a song.
but: the black keys?
the next songs make you even wonder more: some of them are pure blues rock as usually delivered by the black keys (hooray!), some of them are more... poppy so to speak. not really commercial mainstream radio stuff, but never the less not your typical black keys. but don't be mistaken: it still is great music!
diversification? no problem with that, since the quality still stands out.

Theres been a lot of hype lately surrounding The Black Keys, but once you've listen to this, you'll know what all the fuss is about. Truly magnificent album, there best by far. And play it "LOUD" !!!!!

I got this as a gift recently which I had fancied. Prior to this only had the Attack and Release album which is very good. Bought that on the back of hearing a song from it on a sountrack to Rescue Me. I have just never got round to buying the Black Keys other albums, although that was the plan!!

Long story short this is a great album which will surely make the band better known in the UK. Its getting plenty radio air play already. Its not often you like an album after the first listen but I did with this one. Enough said!! Enjoy.

This is a brilliant album. I have all the Black Keys other albums and this one is great as well as the others. Just been to see them live and they were fantastic. A must buy.

I am ashamed to say that this is the first album I have actually bought buy the brilliant Black Keys. But am proud to say that it will not be my last. I have listened to most of their stuff and really like it all. Cannot wait to add to my collection. I love the fuzzy guitars which are not as readily available on this album. But it you will not be disappointed. This is quite an upbeat album stand out tracks for me Lonely Boy Sister oh what am I playing at they are all brilliant.
