This album is AWESOME.

I agree with the other reviews that it is a definite grower which for me always turn out to be my favourite albums. I bought the Deluxe version and I would strongly recommend you do because the additional tracks are also superb.

Whilst in my opinion the first Keane album Hopes and Fears still slightly shades Strangeland this is certainly a very close second and is a return to the haunting and melodic tunes that us long term Keane fans love.

My favourite tracks are Disconnected - Sovereign Light Cafe - Neon River and Run With Me but to be honest there are no tracks that I do not like.

Overall this album is nothing short of a little masterpiece so if you have not bought it yet then BUY IT NOW - you will not be disappointed.

Back to their stunning best, Hopes and Fears Vol 2

Great album, every time you listen to the songs they grow on you and become better and better. Have to admit the first time I listened to the album I thought that it was just so so, give it time and now its all I listen to on my ipod in the car. The first half of the album is filled with catchy melodies which you may not pick up until after a few listens, give it a chance, its the old Keane back to their best.

2 years on from their Night Train ep Keane are back with 12 new songs all about life love and the human condition. There are some crackers on here, particularly Disconnected (gr8 video) and The starting line, which really stirs up the emotions (in a good way!). For me they have never quite repeated the awesomeness of hopes and fears hence 4 stars but if your looking for well crafted songs that resonate and show top musicicians on their game this is well worth the money. Can't wait for the 29th at the o2 in Leeds :-)

This album is truly incredible from start to finish!! It's a must buy! Some songs hit you straight away like silenced by the night and disconnected, the 2 singles and other songs like on the road and day will come. But other songs creep up on you and are excellent growers such as neon river and in your own time. It's definitely worth listening to more than once if it doesn't grab you the first time as it really is a classic and I feel over time you will think it's better than all their previous work or at least equal to it. It's a great mix of all their music so far but at the same a new, fresh, positive sound! I'm in love with every song but especially watch how you go, on the road and sovereign light cafe. The latter is truly stunning and one of the best songs ever written!! Sea fog is a beautiful stripped back ending to the album which even the critics of the album still seem to love a lot. The bonus songs on this deluxe edition are also incredible and just as good as the 12 album tracks. The actual track strangeland is truly beautiful and run with me is very catchy!
Overall, after a dozen times of listening, I believe this album is there best yet and is a must for everyone's music collection. It is full of passion, beautiful lyrics and gorgeous melodies that no one could possibly resist!
