Well its been a very long time since the last release from the classic Ultravox line up, 28 years in fact, but boy was it worth the wait. From the opening bars of Live to the last seconds of closer Contact this cd has the Ultravox dna stamped all over it. Standout tracks for me so far are the marvellous Rise the haunting Remembering and the storming opening track Live which will be amazing to hear live ! In fact I don't think that their is a bad track on the album, and I don't usually say that very often if ever ! The album of 2012 and lets hope its not 28 years till the next one !
Genius !
The classic line-up is back in full swing almost three decades after their last offering back in the mid-eighties. Some would argue that this is more of a Midge album however, I would disagree as you can hear the trademark vox sounds throughout. Everyone has their favourites on this come-back album, mine are Flow, Change and the title track. Surprised that no singles have yet to be released as there are definitely a few gems worthy of gracing the singles' charts. Long live the Vox!
