Come Of Age (Deluxe 2CD)

This starts off with The Vaccines sounding very much as you'd expect,onto slower stuff then quickens the pace again.
Most fans of their first album might well expect more fast songs than what you get on here,but the slower songs will no doubt be growers in next to no time.
This slower approach i do see as a brave idea,with the fast tracks coming often enough to have things well balanced.
Most of what is on here is what i would expect from this band with a few tracks showing them trying out other ideas,to which i give the thumbs up.

I did decide to go for the deluxe edition of this and i would say the bonus tracks and the bonus live cd are well worth the several quid extra,great sounding gig with songs from both albums,even the cheering for an encore in included giving that real live feeling,as it was kind of thing.
So from first few listens i'd say i really like it,if slightly surpised by the amount of slower tracks. But the way i see it,the fisrt album had slower tracks which soon became loved,so surely these will too.
surprised? yes,disappointed? no,happy? oh yes!
