Whether or not your a big fan of Bloc Party it really does not matter as this album brings all their previous 3 albums together to give you a very strong album. In your first listen it may feel disconnected as each song seems very different but after a few more listens it becomes a masterful piece of music as a whole. (The front cover artwork communicates this very well...the separate circles with their different colours and sizes are different but they are still all circles that form together as a whole)

You will come into a more heavier rock and punk Bloc Party sound as well as tipping their hat to more recent album experiments and its fresh and exciting. I really recommend this album to anyone. It has everything dark beautiful heavy love fear well just dam right sublime. It grows and grows on you and as you can tell I'm addicted to this album and nothing else comes close to it in recent releases. This album will... quote...ruin your life... in a good way.

First things first, this album is nowhere near as good as silent alarm, or even weekend in the city, what it is miles better than intimacy and it has some brilliant tracks in amongst the rubbish heavier songs. Forth day is one of their best ever songs, octopus is their new helicopter and the truth is an extemely catchy upbeat song. Overall a good album.........still makes you want to listen to their better albums tho!!
