I've got to say that this is definitely a Chemical Brothers album that you HAVE to add to you collection! Full of quirky beats and inventive sounds, this is one of the biggest jump towards dance and rock that I have seen the Brothers do. I especially enjoyed the Klaxons appearance on "All Rights Reserved" the combination of the two works so well, and I don't even like the Klaxons! Anyway this is a must buy for anybody... BUY IT!
This album is pure genious. I am a person that is not really in to dance music (I no technically it may not be classed as dance but whatever)
And I love it! It gets the feet tapping and then head a' nodding!
This is an absolutely fantastic album. Whether you're a long time fan of The Chemicals or this is your first listen to them, you're gonna love it, especially after several run-thru's.
The music is infectious as always, full of their trademark break beats and strange little noises & the mixin is second to none - these guys remain the best in the business and know how to produce an album. Stand out tracks (apart from the excellent single Do It Again) include 'Saturate', 'Das Spiegel', 'A Modern Midnight Conversation', the outstanding final track 'The Pills Won't Help You Now' & my personal favourite 'Burst Generator' ... infact there isn't one bad track on here at all - it's all good!
Oh and 'The Salmon Dance' is sheer genius & The Chemicals at their most fun. It's hilarious ("Fish pay attention to the moon?") & so darn funky ... give it a few more weeks and people will be dancing to this in clubs! GO FAT LIP!!! GO SAMMY THE SALMON!!!
Seriously, this is one of the best albums so far this year and a great addition to anyone's collection. I guarantee, that over the next few months, you'll end up hearing every single track on either a car commercial or as background music for a BBC sports programme montage.
At first i was gutted but like a few said it is a grower. There still is about only 4 good tracks the rest are really not so good. Track 7 is the worst chemical brothers tune. I think this is one of the not better albums Probelry on drugs when it was made. So get back to your old stuff what the crowd love not this wierd stuff!
This album is nothing like the previous.
There's not a lot I can write about this than it's lame.
