My favourite Linkin Park album of all time, simple as that. I listen to it over and over again in the car for hours. Very easy to sing along to!

     Grew on me...

This was actually the first full Linkin Park album I listened to, and now I love it, I personally think this is better than Hybrid Theory, because they arnt just singing bout cutting themselves and 'healing wounds' all the time. In this album they touch on a number of subjects from: the government to just general good times.
The best tracks on the album are probably the less kown ones like:
The little things give you away
    Hands Held High
    Valentines Day
    and Shadow of the day

The only track I don't particularly like is 'In Between' if i did, then this album would be as good as meteora, but anyway enough of comparing this album to their others.
I love this album, but wouldn't recommend it to the hardcore die hard idiots that only play 'one step closer' to head bang to.
If you want an album showing a different side of LP then get this, it will grow on you.

I am a big fan of Linkin Park, i know and like every song from them. When i first got this for Christmas a couple of years back i played it and found that it was a lot different to Hybrid Theory and Meteora. I'll admit it, this album isn't as good as them but it is still good. At first i wasn't fussed on this album but i gave it time and suddenly realised how great some of the songs are. We here a lot more from Mike Shinonda and he is fantastic (singer, rapper, songwriter, produced this and previous albums) Chester Bennington performs some great screams and vocal as useual. Also i noticed how smart they have been here. I think if they were to try and make a same type of album as before then it would fail because it doesn't show variety. Lostprophets have done it and some people may agree and dissagree if it was the right thing to do. And then they realesed New Divide which was a sigh of realief for fans of their older stuff. For me i really like (not including the well known songs from this album) In peices, In between, hands held high and Valentines day. Keep up the good work i'd say, you haven't gone down a step but you've gone a different direction and you know what to do next ;)

     Linkin Park calms down

Minutes To Midnight is certain proof of Linkin Park's severe boredom over their old nu-metal sound. While their previous albums included heavy metal guitars and screaming vocals mixed with rapping, Minutes To Midnight seems to exclude this combination from most of the songs. It's a calmer album, with deep meaningful lyrics and beautiful vocals from Chester Bennington. Yet it's certainly not a weak and poppy album!
Songs such as Given Up, Bleed It Out and No More Sorrow ensure that Linkin Park didn't lose their grit and angst, and their knack for helping fans to release their anger.

A Must Buy For Linkin Park Fans

Before I had not liked linkin park mosly because i wasen't into most of their music (Nu Metal) But i heard one song from this album "Shadow Of The Day" Soft song good beat and a political them to it just like the other song "Hands Held High" After listening to these songs over and over i decided to broaden my horizons with linkin park listening to other great titles from minutes to midnight such as "Bleed It Out" Fast Rap song with catchy lyrics and a clapping background, Of course at the time of the release one song in the album featured in a well known film "Transformers" The song "What I've Done" Featured in the movie this also being a really great song.

Basically if your not a fan of linkin park but you are a fan of rock/alternative this is a must buy a few metal songs but mostly good rock and drum beats.

If you love Linkin Park This is a must buy

This is a fantastis album. No more nu metal but this is still outstanding. Given up is a beast of a song with chester basically screaming his head off. My faves are tracks 2-9. Before i bought this i hadnt listened to hands held high. This song gives me goosepimples every listen. Ps congrats to lozz93 on the 1sd!

Whilst Meteora is still their best album, Linkin Park came close with this one. Hands Held High is the most beautiful song I have ever heard and this album is well worth the listen.

     Best CD so far!

I think that this CD is the best Linkin Park have made so far, it shows a totoaly different side to them, it's fresh and new, a bit softer. You've got to listen to Hands Held High, really listen to the lyrics, it's an amazing tune, I analysed it for an English essay, and managed to get a 1(SD). But if your a die hard traditional Linkin Park fan, you might want to steer clear, or maybe borrow it from someone before you decide to buy it, you might just hate it, and regret wasting your money.
