Move It (Expanded Edition 2CD)

Stray's fifth album from 1974 saw the band recording in America for the first time this re-issue includes a bonus CD which is a must buy for the groups fans.The title track is a cover of Cliff Richards Move it which the band turn into there own it really moves and the vocals by Steve Gadd are outstanding.The other stand out track on the album is Give it up which is a stab at soul and works really well again it is the vocals by Gadd which really move the listener as the band work the tension in the song to a rousing finish.Although not as raw as the bands best work this is still a good album made much better by the bonus disc which captures Stray live at the BBC and includes in many cases better versions of the songs on the studio album and gives the listener a good idea of the bands live sound i have seen Stray live on many many occasions and they are sensational as a live act.A real find from the BBC sessions is Down Down Down which is just fantastic again Gadd's vocals stand out whilst the band really get it together behind him with Del Bromhams guitar cathing fire, all in all this is a good value package.
