Every track is completely different genre-wise and i think that's what makes this album so outstanding!

i wouldnt say this was the best album of 2007 (like many music magazines), but its a very good one. there are moments where this album loses its way (Anti-Christ Television Blues; Windowsill and The Well And The Lighthouse) but then there are many other moments that show what this band are capable of.

Intervention is easily up there with the best songs of the year. it's absolutely epic, mixing sarcastic jubilation with right-wing Evangelical-baiting venom. Black Wave/Bad Vibratons is another real highlight - a song of two halves, begins like a sunny day in the park, before it gives way to poaring rain and thunder. other standouts include Keep The Car Running, Ocean of Noise and the majestic rerecorded version of No Cars Go, which sounds a million times better than the original version on an early EP.

while not a perfect album, its much more epic than Funeral, and easily as good as, if not better.

i think its an album that you have to have time for as you want to listen to it over and over, it had me crazy about it straight away as its real good. i love arcade fire from the bottem of my heart all ther music is unique, to like it i think you have to have a unique way to your own self so if thats you, you will love it!
