  • After being placed second in the BBC News "Sound Of 2007" poll and being lauded by the NME, Birmingham based five piece The Twang release the debut album 'Love It When I Feel Like This'. Recorded with long term collaborator Gavin Monaghan, the album sees the band taking influence from the early nineties 'Madchester' scene while lyrically following in the footsteps of Arctic Monkeys and The Streets. The singles 'Wide Awake' and 'Either Way' are included.

Superb collection of tracks. Listenable, danceable got it all! Seen them live, even better. Real people, real life, real music that tells a story. Can't wait to see them again.

 everything is average nowadays

It's great to finally hear a band that sound different to all the other bands that are out at the moment e.g pidgeon detectives, the view etc. I heard the first single and loved it then I got the album and thought it was superb. I think because they've got that happy mondays/stone roses indie feel. Every song is great and really different - not like the pidgeon detectives where every song sounds the same. Not that I don't think the pidgeon detectives are good but I saw them last year and don't think I'll bother with them again - nothing different. But the twang...wow...they really are amazing. Saw them last night and it was a great gig. The sound was amazing and whoever is saying their pap - are you sure you mean the twang?! Can't wait for their next tour and next album. Everyone should give this album a listen and definately go to their gigs - brilliant, rock on lads!!!!!

This album is simply AWESOME. From Start To Finish. i can't stop playing it. The Best Tracks On The Album for me are: EITHER WAY, CLOUDY ROOM, WIDE AWAKE, ICE CREAM SUNDAE, GOT ME SUSSED. but all the songs on the album are brilliant

 Just Brilliant

Best album of year for me, can be played over and over, will never get boring due to the different sounds of every song. Stu Hartland on guitar is fantastic with charismatic lead singers Phil Etheridge and Saunders. Hope the next album is just as good and if you get chance to see the lads live - jump at it
