It's great to finally hear a band that sound different to all the other bands that are out at the moment e.g pidgeon detectives, the view etc. I heard the first single and loved it then I got the album and thought it was superb. I think because they've got that happy mondays/stone roses indie feel. Every song is great and really different - not like the pidgeon detectives where every song sounds the same. Not that I don't think the pidgeon detectives are good but I saw them last year and don't think I'll bother with them again - nothing different. But the twang...wow...they really are amazing. Saw them last night and it was a great gig. The sound was amazing and whoever is saying their pap - are you sure you mean the twang?! Can't wait for their next tour and next album. Everyone should give this album a listen and definately go to their gigs - brilliant, rock on lads!!!!!
Awesome!!!

Best album of year for me, can be played over and over, will never get boring due to the different sounds of every song. Stu Hartland on guitar is fantastic with charismatic lead singers Phil Etheridge and Saunders. Hope the next album is just as good and if you get chance to see the lads live - jump at it
LOVE THIS ALBUM

Really good album, sometimes a bit diverse, shouty/lad anthems, others good harmony driven classics. I like this band a lot and there album is def worth a punt. As for the review elsewhere that says Pigeon Detectives album is better, thats absolute comedy - pay no attention to this whatsoever!!!
True to life, very good.

I really enjoy listening to this album. Listening and singing away to songs that very much resemble little tails of everyday life. Don't Wait Up is brilliantly funny. I recommend it Highly.
Great Tracks Great Band

Superb collection of tracks. Listenable, danceable got it all! Seen them live, even better. Real people, real life, real music that tells a story. Can't wait to see them again.
What's all the fuss about ?

The best new album by the best new group of the year - that, or something very similar, was what I read about this offering from The Twang. Hmmm ...... I can only conclude that the author has only listened to this one album so far this year. I bought it and listened to it once but I haven't been tempted to go back and listen to it again - not when so many really good debut albums have been released this year. I'd far rather be listening to Ghosts, Mumm-Ra or The Pigeon Detectives, who have all released really tremendous debut albums in 2007.
well i think they're papp!!!

for a start the geezer cant sing ok the band can play well u can really tell they're from smethwick cos they sound like yam yams. Dull And Boring, . You want good music get cape wear cape fly, listen to it 3 or 4 times and tell me its not genius. And how dare you compare the twang to arctic monkeys sap
A Rare Gem
