where did they go and why ?
this was one of what i would describe as a 'quality' out-fit from way back when.
if they can still produce music like i'm listening to right now, all i can say is we've been cheated down the absent years, makes you wonder what might have been ?
i've allways been a 'pop' music-fan and have cherished memories of some of the 'eagles' tracks i used to be so fond of like all time classic's like 'take it to the limit' and
'lying eyes'
i think you've guessed by now i love this new album, reminds me of the good times brought to us by their 'sound' in days gone by.
This was worth the wait !

Top 100 Music Reviewer
We had to wait 20 odd years for this album, but it was well worth the wait. No complaints on this one, though I do favour the second disc to the first, and unfortunately the silly piece of cardboard fell apart on the third day !Please record companies......... a proper case would be appreciated !
Still Loving It

I'd lost interest in the Eagles just prior to the unceremonious sacking of ace axeman Don Felder, and to be truthful wasn't expecting much from the album when it first came out. After the first few listens it really grew on me - the quality that these guys have produced throughout their careers is hard to shake off. As previous reviewers have said, even the fillers are ok - an Eagles filler is still quality work. Left the album for a few weeks whilst listening to other stuff and gave it another listen recently - my God, it's a classic. Ever get the feeling listening to an album that you're slipping back into a comfy old pair of slippers? Well this is it. The hairs on the back of my neck are sticking up as I listen to it. I'm overwhelmed folks, if you haven't got this one then get it and enjoy it for years to come. It'll probably be the last piece of original Eagles product you'll get.

Running at twenty tracks, there are a few that would have to be put into the category of "fillers" but on the whole this is a cracking album.
Takes a bit longer to grow on you than their heyday albums and it doesn't have quite the top ten feel to it with fewer iconic songs but Long Road Out of Eden is still well worth a punt.
After all, an Eagles "filler" is still worth having.
The title track is a masterpiece, as is Waiting In the Weeds. There are some real departures too such as a track that reminds me of something Fun Loving Criminals would do. I will leave it to you to find out which one.
This album has got a fair bit of stick but I feel it doesn't deserve it. It's not fair to judge the lads using the likes of Hotel California as as yardstick.
True Eagles fans will find plenty in this to keep them humming along.
S'ok.

It would have been possible to condense this album to one CD with five star material, the rest is a bit shody. Can't complain though, it's not as if it costs more than a 1 disc album.
As for the packaging, I love it. I like these new digipacks being used now. Not least because it fits in with the rest of my Eagles albums, which are all vinyl replica packaging.
good music shame about case
