This was Slades 1977 comeback album after 2 years livng in America. I remember the first time I played it and almost close to tears thinking no hits ? it was heavy and very American influenced, but unlike Nobody's Fools, not many decent tunes. having said that , many Slade fans rate this as their fave lp ! Be, the opening track was a live fave , Nod and Jim trading lyrics at 100mph, segues into Lightning Never Strikes Twice, When Fantasy Calls, Gypsy Roadhog [ the single released but banned after a Blue Peter promo ! ] Dogs of Vengeance is my fave track, Nods lyrics are bizarre, the bonus tracks include b sides and singles recorded at the same time. Not the Slade you would expect to hear but interesting stuff !
