Now i'm a big fan of the ozzy sabbath years and his solo stuff, although i did start to think Ozzy started to go down hill after the no more tears album but its been 16 years downthe line an we are blessed with the REAL! return from Ozzy all the tracks on this album stand out for me.
its a brilliant, stylish come back. every track is filled with thrunderous guitar riffs and the meoldic songs ring in your ears!!! and of course cant forget another great job from zakk wylde
I must agree with the review above that ozzy has come out with a great album... though not classic as it was said it would be. I must disagree with what was said about no more tears and onwards. No more tears is the best release of ozzy (IMO). The music after "Ozzmosis" will in my opinion never be as successful as previous releases which is in fact the same about Black Rain but I must admit the music is just awesome and I am not disappointed in any way. What I was shocked about is the starting part of "The almighty Dollar" which seems too "popish". But I understand that it's impossible nowadays not to change the style a little (damn MTV)
I seriously suggest you buy this album especially if you're a follower of ozzy or anything zakk wylde. The riffing is not only heavy but it also has amazing melodies!
This Is A Great Album I Havnt To all of it yet cause im listning to it now. This is An Awesome album with great heavy riffs great solos and lyrics which thats what usually makes an awesome metal album. The 2 Ballads are good but not excellent when you listen to them near the end youll want to press the skip buttin( but They Dont Ruin The Album. All the Heavy Tracks Are Awesome But may Fave Track Would Probably be The Title Track Black Rain The Intro Rocks I love The Lyrics(what metal lyrics should be). Im not a fan of ozzy but i do love the ozzy era of black sabbath and this album too. I'd Recommend this to black sabbath fans and ozzy fans and anyone who wants to here great riffs, solos & lyrics. 4 stars for me.
This is a great modern album and it has a great feel to it.
It was definatly worth spending my money on it. Its maybe not his best album but at the age he is at its amazing. Ozzy streches his vocals so much on this album and its all to the fans advantage. But 1 thing that im very annoyed about is ive just been looking on the internet and found 2 more songs thats only on the japanese album, I Can't Save You and Nightmare. Why would he add 2 songs for his japanese fans and take them off for his fans from his homeland...
Ozzy At His Best With Zach Wylde The Second Best Living Guitarist In The World (Slash Is God) - Brilliant!
