The great album that was beckoning

This superlative solo collection has been lurking on the horizon for some time. Historicallyst solo album Euphoria Morning followed his Soundgarden days, and illustrated the promise of what might come later. 3 albums with Audioslve later, and here arrives the next Cornell solo, and at his very best. Whilst he pinnacle could be regarded as the Bond movie theme from Casino Royale 'You know my name', this album is full of stunning songs in a variety of genre that brings out of the best of Cornell's unique and raw singing voice. Enjoy!

Album of the Year 2007. An album that will have you on an ultimate high all the way to pondering life and back again. Such a mix of great songs, upbeat, downbeat. No Such Thing, Arms Around Your Love, You Know My Name all the way to Finally Forever, Killing Birds, Silence the Voices. Cornell's Billie Jean cover is mesmorising.

I've had this album a while now and can't say there's a day when i don't play at least one track off this album think my fav track has got to be Arms around your love not that there is a track that i dislike all though Billie Jean did take a little getting used to. I don't think there is a project that Chris hasn't made work there's just something about his voice you just know its him whether it be in Temple of the dog,Soundgarden or Audioslave but i love his solo work Euphoria morning was great but i think he's top it with this album and was lucky enough to hear one of the tracks live when i saw him at Hyde park back in June, long may he produce work like this.

 Amazing & diverse album

This album has a great mix of tunes which really showcase Cornell's ability to go back and forth between genres. I love the diversity and the fact that he's still evolving. His voice is amazing, as always. For me, there's no one else who comes close as a vocalist and songwriter. Some of my favorite tracks include Disappearing Act, Ghosts, Scar on the Sky, Poison Eye, No Such Thing and You Know My Name, to name a few. I really love this album!

If you loved soundgarden and audioslave, and ofcourse euphoria morning album. Your going to love this, chris cornell still delivers vocally and this is an album your going to be listening to for a long while. Definitely worth checking out if you havnt, its a sweet album and by far better than his last solo effort.

OK....well I'd never heard of this guy (yes I know NOW !!) but I can see from the correspondence that the cognisenti among you all out there were less than impressed with this CD.

I was happily driving along when "Billie Jean" came on the radio and I was blown away. I parked up, whacked the volume up till it finished and then went home and ordered it straight away.

Been in my CD player ever since, unquestionably the best CD I've bought so far this year. I'm off to look up his back catalogue stuff now and await the next offering whenever.

cheers,

FABLON

Please stop associating this artist with Audioslave, yes he was the frontman but this is Chris Cornell's solo project so it is therefore nothing to do with Soundgarden or Audioslave.
Anyway this is a stunning piece of work and is very consistent with his Euphoria Morning release.
Chris was in an accident on his Motorbike when he was recording this album but just 20 mins after being hit flying he was back in the studio as if nothing had happened.
A true genius.
Love it or Hate it but you have to say Chris Cornell is the MAN.

hated audioslave thought euphoria morning was amazing

I expected more, much more from Chris Cornell.

I follow him since the beginnings, and this is the worst job he ever has made.

Only 3, or mabe 4, songs are acceptable, the rest... nothing.

What a pity!!
