The Sun And The Moon

Well first of all, what ever happened to The Bravery? One day they were all the rage and without putting a foot wrong they appear to be back at square one, with this album receiving little hype. Still, hype isn't what's important. After the first listen to 'The Sun and the Moon' I could have just chucked it out my car window - but it's a grower so give it time. Don't listen to this album expecting much the same as the first because these guys have grown vastly. The debut was a cracking album and was perfect for a first release from a band expressing themselves in a fun and slightly flamboyant way but this record shows a whole new depth to the band. The songs come across as being so much more personal to the band than anything on the last album. The first single release "Time Won't Let Me Go" is a beautiful indie ballad. But don't be fooled, there are still plenty of foot stompers on here. "Knife in My Ear" and "Bad Sun" are particularly superb. In a nutshell - yes it's different to the self-titled debut but GOOD different.

The album starts of well with an epic feel intro, then one of the best songs on the album "believe" the album stays strong till it gets to track 7 which is very poor, the quality comes back slowly with track 13 being the best "Ocean"
