In Search Of The Fourth Chord

This album is a must for anyone who likes any decent rock music. It is a return to form since Quo's Heavy Traffic with some excellent rockin' tracks. Rhino, Quo's bass player, gets a lead vocal with the classic boogie shuffle, 'Bad News' and there are other great contributions from all members of the band.

I just hope this album gets the recognition it deserves. Containing a wealth of material, some of which is very diverse, the band have certainly found more than just the fourth chord. Mind you, anyone with half a brain knows that these guys are fantastic musicians and long may they ROCK!

Quo's 33rd album, nicely titled In search of the Fourth Chord brings a collection of new songs that are set to be future classics. Following on from the Heavy Traffic album Quo prove they can still rock like no other band with there unique style of boggie rock. The first track being the latest single Beginning of the end has you wanting to get those blow up guitars out, and there is no stopping of belters from Rick's Alright to the catchy My Little Heartbreaker. Like most recent Quo albums the band have put in the odd couple of tracks that might surprise some, and this album is of no exception with the catchy Pennsylvania Blues Tonight and Electric Arena.
This album is a must for any Quo fan, but will easily please the casual rock critic.
Most bands get a little stale after there first few albums so it's refreshing to here some quality from a band in there 42nd year and with a string of hit singles and albums to their name. Long live Rock'n roll, but even more, long live the Quo.

As an ardent Quo fan of many years, I always rush out to buy the latest offering from the boys on its release date.
I really feel I should have strolled to buy this one. I was disappointed with what I heard from a generous 14 tracks.
There won't be any classics from this cd although in fairness half the tracks had me reaching for my faithful air guitar. Usually the amount of tracks I like increases the more times I play the cd and i'm sure that "The fourth chord" will be the same. Quo never take themselves seriously and the title of this cd proves the point. If I were to give Quo any advice it would be to replace their woeful drummer, the drive and heartbeat of the band has not been the same since Jeff Rich left.

Mainly lightweight poppy stuff & some embarrassing drivel. You wont find another classic like Caroline / The Oriental / Down Down etc here. 4 or 5 OK tracks with one (Dont wanna hurt you...) standing out as the best on the album. In short, disappointing to the heavy rock / HM fans.

A Very good album, good mix of songs from poppy sounding radio friendly one's to some decent rockers. To be honest one of there best albums. The guitars sound great the music fresh. the stand out track for me is " Alright " and the only real dodgy one is " Figure of eight.
