This is a general "Foos" fans fav, and it is one of mine too. It's generally considered their best album although it does contain two of my least favourite Foo Fighters songs: "Walking after you" and "February Stars" both of which are sickly, mushy pap in my view.
But there's so many songs on here I love, "Monkey Wrench", "Wind up", "My Poor Brain", "My Hero" and of course "Everlong" which has become a real classic. This being the 10th Anniversary edition it also has some extra B-sides tracks, some of which are really good, the covers of "Down in the park" and "Baker Street" are both excellent. But the best of the extra tracks is "Colour and the shape" which is just a killer song, and is probably the single heaviest track they ever wrote.
So if you haven't got The Colour and the Shape already the buy it, and get acquianted with some quintessential Foos.
