Well, the 5th album, eagerly awaited. Having listened to the whole ablum there was a couple of dissapointments like "I'm falling", "Damn" & "Close to love". They are actually terrible and not the usual GA standard. However it will be one of those albums that'll stick in your head. Some of the stand outs are obviously "Sexy no,no,no" "Call the shots" "Can't speak French" "Crocodile tears" & "Fling". Nadine's voice shines throughout as usual and overall defo worth buying. Keep it up girls.

excellent album - their best yet

i love this album - best pop record ever by a girl band. the only song i'm not too keen on - but it is perfectly alright - is "control of the knive" - all the other songs are totally addictive!!!!

Even 'Call the Shots' is a great opener to the album, and this was the one single release i wasn't too keen on at first, until now!!! if you buy this you will not be disappointed,

This album is absolutley amazing, loads of pop stompers and dancey tunes. It is a must for anyone. The highlights are definatley close to love, girl overboard, cant speak french, fling and control of the knife, well the whole lot is brill. YOU MUST BUY IT it has also been given amazing review and better than sugababes, kylie and britney latest albums.

 Something Old, Something New...

I'd slightly lost interest with Girls Aloud, particularly since their albums after Sound Of The Underground developed a 'softer' sound.

But whilst checking out the latest single 'Sexy! No No No...' i was intrigued to hear the rougher sound of the band.

'Tangled Up' has a running, upbeat theme throughout every track. But with different elements applied to different tracks.

An ambient feel is present in 'Crocodile Tears' and hit single 'Call The Shots', whilst a poppier sound is found in 'Close To Love' and 'Fling'.

But what i love most about the album, is the more dance-driven tracks such as 'Sexy! No No No...' and 'Girl Overboard'.

The girls also put their stamp on a more retro sound with 'Black Jacks' and 'I'm Falling'.

The album doesn't have any true failures, though 'What You Crying For' seems to have a less than memorable hook, and 'Crocodile Tears' takes a few listens to get into..

The main reason i put this to 4/5 is because of a little disappointment i felt when i received the album. I was really looking forward to an album of dance anthems, that followed in the footsteps of the singles, but 'Tangled Up' offers something different with each track, and as the saying goes 'There is something for everyone'.

Standout tracks: Can't Speak French, Black Jacks, Girl Overboard, Call The Shots.

 boring

i was expecting a lot from this album, however i found that each song, bar the two singles was really repetative and monotonous! theres no real song writing skills employed here because they just keep repeating the chorus in most of he songs. the 2 singles and black jacks are the stand out tracks.
