No exaggeration. This is the best album I have ever heard (full stop).
I'm a music student. I know a thing or two about musicality. And I honestly believe that despite their use of computers and electronics (which some people seem to think is some kind of musical crime), Pendulum are some of the most talented musicians going. They write fantastic melodies, their songs are never samey and their music has so many layers. Also, if you've seen them live you'll know just what amazing performers they are.
On this album, they merge their distinct drum and bass sound with more rock type styles, which leads to a sound which is totally unique and totally awesome. There is so much talent on this album- if you can't see it you must be blind.
This is a must own, especially if you like your music to give you an adrenline rush. Buy it, shove your prejudices aside and listen. It's amazing.

Honestly: It's worth buying to see for yourself.

In Silico is less Drum and Bass as such, and more Bass guitar with a 'Pendulum twist'.
It's a shocker if you'd settled into your seat and were simply expecting more of the same, as it differs considerably to Hold Your Colour. But by no means right it off! If anything the diversity of In Silico just goes to show that Pendulum aren't just a one trick horse.
The increase in vocals and the lean towards a more rock based style ties in nicely under Pendulums electronic expertise. Theres not a single track I personally dont enjoy, but then i might just be easy to please! There should however, be something to suit everyone, with tracks ranging from softer more easy listening style seen before in 'Streamline' and 'Sounds of Life' to a faster, harder, harsher sound.
It isn't the DnB I'd hoped for but it still gets my vote.
