Pendulum is one of my favourite acts at the moment. They are amazing live and 'hold your colour' still sounds as fresh as when it was released.

However, this album is a big disappointment. The music style has changed quite a bit and seems to be going a bit for the 'mainstream' crowd.

The biggest problem is the lyrics. They simply do not work. The singer comes across as almost 'Muse' in style - whiny and difficult to actually understand what's being said. This obviously seems to work for Muse, but it certainly doesn't here.
That and singing lyrics are difficult to get right in this style of music, more so when you're male.

The other issue is that there is no real 'anthem' on the album. If out in a club and 'Slam' comes on from 'hold your colour', its hard to find someone that won't get up and dance to it. There is simply no song on here which has the same effect sadly.

Very average and was expecting so much more.
Was torn between 2/3 stars, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
