An interesting addition to the korn family

As with any new release from korn you can never be sure what you are going to get. I have been a fan from the early days and have to say the album is an eclectic mix of songs which are in general good, however the loss of the heavy rifts leads to album that falls short of a stopping korn classic. It seems that korn have tried to fit in to an area which manson and co seem to be treading these days. The album is a good purchase however if you are a first timer to korn and you really want to know the korn sound check out their self titled first album korn.

 Killing Is Killer!

It is as good as See You On The Other Side but for totally different reasons. It's more acoustic, scratchier and so powerful. The drums are killer, especially on 'Killing'. From 'Intro' it builds up the suspense. The songs are catchy and are more poetic than the electric See You On The Other Side. Brilliant single 'Evolution'. It shows that the band has matured but still have the evil twist in 'Innocent Bystander'; they can still distort and warp one's mind - classic. On the outside it seems they have gone for a grown up approach then you listen closely to the words - you find that "inner child". It seems mellow but the aggression does kick in; it's even noticible in the tender song of 'Kiss'. I Love It.
From the first self-titled album to the Untitled album; don't you think it is symbolic to evolution?

 Starting Over

KoRn show that you can change your style but still keep the qualities of you original sound! A step up from 'See You On The Other Side' and the best album since 'Follow The Leader'. It's Evolution!!!

Korn are an Amazing band and all there albums are great.............. except this one. With Brian "Head" Welsh leaving on the last album they got away with that but now David Silvera has left too. None of the songs are as catchy as old skool Korn. I was very disappointed.

 they still got it

Okay heres the thing...
Korn have been around for well over ten years now and not once have they made a bad album. Okay i will admit that when Head left the music lost a bit but never so much that they wernt korn and SYOTOS wasnt as great as it should of been. This album is great and if you arnt so narrow minded to say 'oh they lost head and they lost david now they suck and so does the music' then you will see that the bands effort on this album as a three peice set is fantastic. They have to change their style because if you keep doing the same thing over and over again then it gets repetative and boring. This album is a change and a good change at that and sounds great.
Buy it if you love Korn

 Fantastic Album

Forget what everyone said about korn not sticking to their '93 style or whatever. Several of the albums after that have been good and this is no exception!! Yes, their music has moved on, but if it stayed the same it would get far too boring. I would say that it has even got better through the years - some amazing songs on this album & still maintaining a lot of the heavy guitars and drums. Recommended to any fan of korn, new or old.

I'm not a massive fan of korn to be honest but i quite like this album. Love Evolution but i think there is something lacking overall that stopped it from standing out as much as previous albums. This album is a bit more average than typical korn but well worth a listen to.

 Not good

I love Korn, or I used to. Their albums have been slowly departing from their original hard core sounds, especially since HEAD left the band. This album is heading in the wrong direction. I have found 3 songs I can listen to, one is actually not bad. They played a song from there new album live in Zurich a few months ago and the crowd nearly fell asleep. The deep throaty hardcore sound has gone and so have many fans. There seem to be 3 keyboards playing and the guitars are so quite...

Once again I'm a BIG fan of korn, have been since the golden days of nu-metal, but I'm sorry to say that i was a little disapointed with this album. Don't get me wrong the CD has some good tracks on it, but this is not the Korn i know and love... Maybe the loss of a guitarest and drummer has effected the song writing but what ever the problem is i'd like to see Korn bring out an album that uses the band heavy song writing skills rather than Jonathan davies trying to sound like the latest Manson album.
