It's very hard to class Animal Collective into a music genre. 'Freak Folk' is the latest sub-genre I've heard of that they could be classed as. Mixing interestingly unusual vocals along with electronics, percussion and guitar, the music is truly unheard of before now. Seriously, if you've looked here you must have some interest in them already and if you do and don't already own this album, then you must buy it now! Your cd collection needs it!
