Tempest

This is Bob Dylan back at his best, a great album that'll keep every Dylan discple (including myself) very happy indeed. Tempest is undoubtedly the best Dylan album of the decade, the tracks deliver that story line magic that only Dylan can conjure. Even though I've every Dylan cd available, Tempest is right up there with the best. Ok he's not the rebellious kid who hit NYC back in the early 60's, but Dylan still maintains that 'hunger' which charracterises his earlier classics. No complaint, I think Tempest is another Bob Dylan work of art!

The title track, Duquesne Whistle and Soon After Midnight are superb compositions. The lyrics throughout the album are some of Dylan's best. The only slight negatives are that Early Roman Kings is a bit of a derivative blues number and Scarlet Town is very similar to Ain't Talkin' from the Modern Times album.

Some good songs and some bad songs typical dylan album but come on sony after 35 years Dylan deserves more than a paper slip to to go with the cd otherwise you might just as well down load the songs, wish thats what i had done now.

Maybe because i am a sixties child I dont regognise this as his style.
his voice is gone, the lyrics are rambling, and this in my opinion he has spoilt the legend and should have tetired and written songs for other artists
