This one one of my best buys of 2007, and as a huge Foo Fighters fan, my anticipation was matched by the albums quality. 'The Pretender', 'Cheer Up Boys', 'Long Road To Ruin', 'But Honestly' and 'Stranger Things Have Happened' are in my opinion 5 Star tracks.
Yet, I believe on one or two tracks, the Foo's strayed too far from what they know, especially with the song 'Home', which was far too mellow for my liking (and I liked In Your Honour Disc 2 and Skin and Bones).
However, as I said, this is almost a 5 Star album, and if 'The Colour And The Shape' didn't exist, this could possibly be the best album the Foo's have ever done.

I have never been a Foo Fighters fan, i only liked Dave Grohl in Nirvana, but i quickly changed my mind once i heard this album.
It seems The vocals are stronger, the music is louder but the band itself have Matured musically.
If you think you know the Foo Fighters, i urge you to listen to this.
