Firstly, the album is a 'best of' not greatest hits; along with the singles it contains three album tracks as well as the collaboration with Tom Jones. Its completely crammed with what the artists have considered there best work. Also praise to it for actually having ALL of their hits on one album - unlike so many artists who (deliberately) miss a couple off.
The best songs are 'my favourite game', 'lovefool', 'hanging around', 'i need some fine wine...' and 'carnival'. Despite a few other stand out songs the rest don't make as much impact and songs like 'war' are lost among the masses. However, more positively none of the songs are bad and you can easily listen to them all while 'chilling out' with some written work and not get distracted or feel the need to skip. I would sat only half the songs are ipod worthy, but you get your moneys worth!
The cardigans really do make some great songs whether they're sweet pop or edgy rock, they create a wonderful sort of innocence backed up with sometimes depressing and angry lyrics that almost pass by without your notice.
