Seen R.E.M live once at Sheffield, well twice but they cancelled. the first one..we were gutted, then they gave us a new date...the date the wife was coming home from T-gypt she was worried she won't make it.....we did and it was fantastic.
I got a bootleg of the concert and was ok. This is just the best birthday present I could have got.
The band was great, the dvd and the live cd's are ace, shame they could'nt have split the cd's into 12 and 10....seems a bit odd one cd being 17 songs and the other 5........ still a great package....just like the 5.1 re packaged suroundsound cd/dvd's they have done, if you aint heard them then your really , really missing out. Every single song on the albums in 5.1 sound FANTASTIC
If you like REM then your in for a treat. Grab it while you can.............
Great first live album from the guys. I have been to one of their live shows and was an awesome gig - well worth a purchase me thinks! So much different to their past studio recordings as this album has the crowd going wild inbetween each track hence the word "live" :)
If they only gave Oscars for Concert Performances

Having seen REM live on numerous occasions over the years, this CD/DVD can only add to furthering my belief that Michael Stipe is a modern day legend. Having seen the Hammersmith, London leg of this tour, this DVD is a must for all true REM fans, the songs from Around The Sun are all sung with passion and from the heart.
