Justin Curries' "What is love for" simply fantastic

Justin Curries never fails to nip away at your feelings while regalling you with wonderful melodies and ingenious middle eights. He has the knack of allowing you to make his songs your own; reminding you of your own personal experiences. "Not so sentimental now" is a perfect example of this, filled full of pain, resignation and finally anger. This CD has been in my CD changer since I bought it last year and will be there for a long time yet. I tried to get over to see him in England when touring but he was sold out. He will have to write a song about how jealous I am of those people who got to see him. A master of his art will produce masterpieces and this is one! Enjoy...
disappointing

What a shame. I had high hopes for this cd. I have greatly enjoyed justin currie's music and voice over the past years and love his quirky and clever lyrics, but this was a real let down. The tracks were uniformly maudlin and indistinguishable from one another. There was not one stand out track - a very disappointing listening experience.

Time is often unforgiving to us, but Justin in his album has not been, it is pure and expressive. This album (long awaited) has managed to write and deliver a summary of emotions in these songs that show a depth, a measure of lost love and the angst of just being. I missed Justin in Manchester (the hassles of the NHS) and missed him again in Newcastle. I just hope that he won't leave it as long to get round to another tour. Thanks to Justin for a wonderful meaningful and though provoking album, some if the tracks made me cry and some made me smile. It was all so true....this thing called love.
