All the tracks will bring back a memory of one sort or another,, From pretty woman, by the brilliant roy orbison which you can hear played quite regular on 60s radio stations, through to the good old, there a hole in my bucket with harry belafonte & odetta which is seldom on the radio so its a nice surprise when a seldom heard track that you havent heard in years starts, There are also tracks which will remind you of old and new tv adverts, and working out at nearly 8p per track you wont be dissapointed,

 Unusual compilation

No doubt, this is one of the best sixties compilations released these past few years and for less than £9! As a record collector, I am fed up buying compilation cds that always have the same tracks as those I bought before. All record companies do, when they release a compilation cd, is change the title, otherwise the tracks are the same old tracks that as a collector I have on hundreds of other compilation cd!
This new compilation is quite unusual, cause apart from same old tracks one can also find certain tracks never released before on Cd. To mention just a few, one can find BLESS YOU by Tony Orlando (I had to buy a copy of his solo album for this track), KOOKIE KOOKIE (Lend Me Your Comb) by Connie Stevens & Ed Barnes, COUNTRY BOY by Heinze and THERE'S A HOLE IN THE BUCKET by Harry Belafonte & Odetta, to mention just a few. And ALL TRACKS are THE ORIGINAL RECORDINGS!
I had never heard of DMG (demonmusicgroup), the record label responsible for this release and the others (70'S, 80's, Love, Disco), but I chanced it and bought this cd and how glad I am.
I'd like to suggest that all compilations should have printed that the tracks are the original recordings, when they are, and other cds which are re-recorded shouldn't even be for sale, cause it's always a rip-off!

Well done DMG. Give us more of these compilations. How about 100 Hits Vol.2

This is a great collection of songs from the 1960s that have influenced many artists along the way and to date. Great, worth every penny.

I have a lot of this compilation of 60's hits on vynil but to transfer them to cd is so time consuming. i saw this on play.com and couldn't resist. All original recordings, absolutely fanatasic, with the one exception of a few intro notes on "Alone again or" by Love on disc 4. There are many tracks on this collection that one hardly ever hears on the radio, except for "Sounds of the sixties" Saturday morning. My favourite cd is cd2 lots that i had not heard before and of course great soul music. Buy it and enjoy. Thanx Play.com for the usual excellent service.
