Had this album for AGES! now, still havn't stop listening! The only disappointing songs are eye of the storm and scream aim fire, take it out on me. Every other is fantastic. don't really like the fact they have tuned the guitars up in some songs, takes some of the edge off it, but if you don't really pay much attention, it doesn't affect me. Anyway, i don't think it was as much as a hit as the poison was first time round, but that album I've listened to it so much, im bored with it now, still this album has some fantastic tracks on it. i really enjoy it!!1

This album started off insanely well, and then seemed to dip a little, but I still like it.
Bullet for My Valentine are a little bit winy aren't they?
Any way they definetely deserve four, maybe three, but higher and no lower.
Very disappointing

Starts well but by track 3 it all goes downhill and by the end bored me to tears. The second most disappointing album I ever bought, they have a great sound but the songs are so bland I almost wish they had just sold out and made a pop record, or better still - an exiting metal album.
Then again that's just me - since it's fairly cheap still worth checking out.
not that great.

Top 100 Music Reviewer
when this band first came out i 2004, i was obsessed. i had the album, the EP, a hoody and a t-shirt by them. then, they disappeared for a while, and rumours said that they were writing a new album. i was so happy. then, about a year later, i saw the artwork, and a demo of one of the songs. finally, i bought the new album, and was sourly disappointed. fair enough, at least half of the album is good, but the rest is mediocre. some of the slower songs sound very similar to the ones of their last album. some of the more Metalcore songs are alright, but you can't help but think you've heard it all before. sure, it's not that bad, but it's not that great either.

i was really looking forward to the release of bullet's new album sream aim fire, but i,as alot of people, were disappionted. they have made themselves into just another metal band, whereas the poison was superb, every solo and song were AMAZING, but this is just nothing new, the only stand out track is deliver us from evil, disappear and hearts burst into fire. secream aim and fire, the albums opening title, wasnt even that good, the lyrics are far from complex, and all about the same stuff. on a slight upside the guitar still sounds pretty damn good, and although they all sound the same, the songs rated by themselves are okish. but nothing really sticking them all onto one record, which took long enough (3 Years) to arrive anyway, after missing the actual release date that kerrang said'instead of hitting the shops jan 08 it will be hitting the shop october 07.
october, didnt see anything, they shudnt be so hasty with setting release dates, a total clones of metallica, disappionting, really, for people with so much talent...

after really looking forward to this album and preordering it, i was disappointed. yes still good. i admit this but its not as sexy or driven not jamming every minute with breathing taking riffs. yet the poison was a hard act to follow, still purchase and enjoy but dont expect anything as comparitively intense.
Great band, Great album

2nd full length album from bullet, and they've pulled it off really well. same style as The Poison, sort of melodic metal, although the speed has really been turned up a notch. The tempo is higher, and I would say it is heavier in some places, Both of which still make this a great album.
Matt's voice is definately more aggressive, he's still an amazing singer in this album, like on the track Hearts Burst into fire, but he's got a bit of an edge on this album in some parts. His growling and shouting is brilliant on this album.
I have to admit, this album isn't as good as The Poison, although i think it'd be hard to top that album, and it's still worth getting this album, it is still an amazing CD from bullet. Look out for; Hearts burst into fire, Waking the Demon, Deliver is from evil
A fantastic follow up to The poison
