Fat beasty riffs and quicksmart melodies. Slick!

Crackingly upbeat, The Foals arrive just in time to help Battles take over the world.

Refusing to ride off the back of (absurdly fun) Hummer alone, The Foals have dropped the single from this album, which I think is a brilliantly bold move. And that song is something special: usually when a song is featured on Match of The Day it is the universal signal that everyone is sick of it, but not Hummer.

There's a real immediacy to this music; similar to what Bloc Party created on Silent Alarm, only The Foals carry much more weight. It's not often these days that you can hear a new band for the time and say with confidence, 'These will be a truly great band'.

Actually, the way the music industry is today, you can seldom even say that a new band will even get to release a second album, let alone a good second album.

If The Foals are given room to breathe and develop, they will almost certainly achieve great things. Boo yah!

One Of The Best Albums I'v Heard.

 Hello Klaxons second album

A major let down. It sounds exactly like the Klaxons, even the pointless and emotionally void lyrics are similar.
The interesting guitar work and horn arrangements are the only thing worth listening out for.

MIGHT ASWELL GIVE THEM ALL BAND OF THE YEAR AWARDS ALREADY

Was gutted when i brought this album to relise that the first 3 singles where not to appear on this version until a Japan import version is out Summer 2008. Where is Machine !
