Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds was always really Nick Cave & Blixa Bargeld. Now Blixa is off hitting bits of old panzer in Berlin with Einsturzende Neubaten & without him its just not up to scratch. Cave can get it on without his chums without a doubt, the Grinderman album shows that: but Blixa & Cave were the counterpoint to eachother that made the best of the Seeds the best. And this is not the best. Not bad, but come back Blixa!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Keeps on doing it.

Nick Cave somehow keeps on making great music year after year. In an age where most bands are done by their third or fourth release NC & his bad seeds maintain an astonishing consistency.
At first listen I felt that 'Dig Lazarus Dig' was another good, solid collection of songs but not a genuine classic. On second, third and fourth listen I discovered that I was wrong. This is a fantastic CD packed with raw energy and emotion that improves with each listen.
If you're a Nick Cave fan then what are you waiting for it go out and buy it? If you're new to Nick's output buy this, give it a few listens and then delve into the back catalogue.
