 Who He?

Somehow, he retains his identity even though I hear Lou Reed, David Byrne, Mark E Smith, Leonard Cohen and even Neil Diamond(Jesus of the Moon)and of course Bob Dylan among others in his intonation. Furthermore, there are no musical styles that remain un-plundered, making a fruitful landscape that relieves the generally dark nature of the songs. A landmark album which I think people will mark as a beacon in their musical experiences.

 Keeps on doing it.

Nick Cave somehow keeps on making great music year after year. In an age where most bands are done by their third or fourth release NC & his bad seeds maintain an astonishing consistency.
At first listen I felt that 'Dig Lazarus Dig' was another good, solid collection of songs but not a genuine classic. On second, third and fourth listen I discovered that I was wrong. This is a fantastic CD packed with raw energy and emotion that improves with each listen.
If you're a Nick Cave fan then what are you waiting for it go out and buy it? If you're new to Nick's output buy this, give it a few listens and then delve into the back catalogue.

His 14th album,so i`ve been told and yet again it fails to disapoint. Everything you want and expect.Nick in his 50th year, improving with age? No just as good as he`s always been and the Bad Seeds, Fantastic. Buy and enjoy.

 utterly tip top

Top 100 Music Reviewer

I've pre-ordered this, but there is a preview of the whole album on myspace and I'm jumping in early to say that it's outstanding.
It sounds like Saint Nick has taken all the best aspects of his Grinderman project and occupied some territory between what he was doing with that, and where he feels comfortable with his Bad Seed cohorts.
On the title track I felt a heavy Patti Smith (Horses era) vibe, while elsewhere it's just a gonzo biblical road trip filtered through some raw garage sounds. Did I say it was outstanding? Yeah? Well live with it as I may even say it again very soon.
I've been a fan for many a year of Mr Caves output, and I'm rarely disappointed.
Over the last decade he has really hit an artistic stride that few could match. With each release I end up gape jawed and incredulous at just how good it is. Then I harbour insidious thoughts that worm away whispering that he must fail with his next endeavour. That no one can keep pushing forward as he does without stumbling at some point. Then the blighter just appears to rattle out another classic without as much as breaking a sweat.
I reckon he was down at the crossroads striking a bargain. Artistic expression and critical success in exchange for his soul.
I'm going to shout down the whispers this time. His next album is bound to be a killer. I should have more faith.
Okay. It's time to say it's outstanding again.
