- 'Lessons To Be Learned' is the debut album by Australian songstress Gabriella Cilmi. Having been in a rock cover band - an unusual and unique musical background compared to her female contemporaries - Cilmi delivers a refreshing and assured sound on this release. Production duties are undertaken by Xenomania (Girls Aloud, Sugababes) providing pop perfection with a twist, while the fact that material here has been compared to that of Amy Winehouse and Led Zeppelin is evidence of a versatile and confident performer. Includes the single 'Sweet About Me'.

I love "Sweet About Me" at the moment... and although the other songs are good I don't think any of them meet the high standard of this track. It's a good first album and she has a truly super voice and none of the tracks are bad so give it a go if you like this kind of music.
Amaizing first effort

I bought this album purely based on Sweet About Me and the fact that it was produced by Xenomania...
Completely blown away by it. Stand out tracks are Save the Lies, Safer and Sweet About Me. Well worth the £5.99 you will pay on here!

Say what you like about Radio 2, a relative newcomer getting Album of the Week isn't bad going! This girl isn't just a "one-hit wonder", she's got a good collection of songs and I hope she goes far.
