With the single "Stolen" I really had great expectations of the first album but found it fell short of the mark. A phenomenal surprise, "My Own Way" is beautifully written, his voice evocative and sincere. He shows amazing vocal range in a playful almost flirty nature which blends brilliantly with the more heart-wrenching themes in masterful juxtaposition.I bought it on the strength of "Maybe" and I have not looked back; its a tremendous listen. Ultimately the record resonates and is easily superior to his previous effort. BUY IT.

i waited for what seemed like ages for jay sean to follow up 'me against myself' with the tricky second album, after what i felt to be a cracking debut, but after the delayed release i was a bit deflated! the best tracks are the ones he's released so far, of which i thought 'ride it ' would be a much bigger smash.okay album, but not as good as the debut jay!

Jay Sean with this album is quite clearly the face of Brittish R&B. Every track is hard to skip with meaningful, catchy lyrics and modern beats.

ok this album is nothing but brilliant, most albums usually have atleast 2 good tracks, another 2-3 decent tracks and the rest aload of rubbish just to make up an album but jay sean doesnt do that, he makes a whole album full of greats tracks. just buy it you wont be dissapointed!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars If you loved Me against Myself then is even better

Every song is excellent!!! can not fault this album. Jay Sean can fly the flag for the UK with his head held high. Britains answer to Ne-Yo, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake all rolled up in one. The best album of the year. Hope Jay Sean gets the recognition that he deserves - Top notch

its a good cd to chill to, no club joints really, but very good, smooth lyrics over relaxed beats. very mature and grown from jay sean. stand out tracks are "ride it", "used to love her", "just a friend", "stay" and "runaway (prod. by timbo!)" if you're into relaxing r&b/hip hop cop this! jay sean keeps it real :)
