'Alas I Cannot Swim' is a phenomonal album; along with the unbelievably talented Laura Marling. She's such an inspiration with her lyrics of literature. However, i wouldn't go as far as to say the Mystery Jets would be nowhere without her. The boys are uber talented aswell and have got this far off their own accord.

I'd heard of Laura Marling quite alot before, and she was often referred to as Kate Nash or the next Lily Allen, but she's very much unique.
Her music is so carm, and peaceful yet the lyrics make so much sense.
Such a brilliant album!
I think everyone in my house is getting sick of me playing it!
xxxx
Alas a brilliant sound

I did not know who Laura Marling was up until 2 weeks ago. Once I heard her unique folk sound I had to buy her album, and boy I made a smart choice. The album is chilled out & excitingly original. A breathe of fresh air in todays music industry.
