 I just love it!

I just can't stop listening to this album, since I bought it a few weeks ago I haven't really listened to much else. It takes no time at all to get into with it's stylish guitar sound and good use of a drum machine to create some catchy beats. You can really feel the chemesty between the two band members "VV" (Alison Mosshart) and "Hotel" (Jamie Hince) in the music. Almost every song stands out so i can't really pick out my favorites. You just need to get this album.

 Cool cd, nice sonics

Prior to this I'd only heard the single 'Fried my little brains' which I didn't think too much of. I then saw them on Jools Holland performing (I think) 'U.R.A. Fever' which I was loving (unfortunately on record the guitar riff is not a main part and it loses some of it's dark energy) so I thought I'd give it a try and pre-ordered (For £8.95! Of all the lousy tricks...!)

Well firstly I was in two minds to give this album a four, it sounds fantastic, crisp sound, instruments nicely seperated in the channels and a modern almost dancy sound. It reminds me slightly of 'Death In Vegas'. At times however I find it sounds too clean and bland and a little bit 'hipsterish' and siome of the songs are not that strong. However there are tracks of the quality of 'Hook and Line' (which is strangely reminiscent to me of a cross between 'Howling Bells' and 'The Gossip') it's chorus is powerful, propulsive stuff with it's heavy guitar and impassioned vocals.

'Tape Song' and 'Mexicocu' are other favourites along with 'How New York Used to be'. I've heard this band compared to the 'White Stripes but when you've heard this pulstating through the speakers you wouldn't want to hear their underproduced retro stylings when you could have this sleek sonic assault

 The Classic

If you want everything that The Kills are about, this is the real deal! This amazing band gives everything in this album. Besides that, this is the album that has most of The Kills' classics. Great album, astonishing deal.

This is top!! . You won't be able to sit still with this on.

Full of energy. Includes the epic Last Day of Magic. I really want to catch this band live.
