  Boring!

Big expectations but really pretty much every song sounds same, and only two songs stand out. No idea why people are trying to hype this album! Disappointment!

  1 Decent Track

One decent track (Motherboard), the rest is either average or lame. Too much vocoder - been using that tiresome thing since 2000.

Immensely overrated.

Can't understand what all the hype is about? My wife's been an avid fan of them for years - really looked forward to the release of this album. We listened to it for the first time on Friday and if it hadn't have been illegal, it would have been thrown out of the window as we drove down the M1. Don't waste your time and money!!!

Great album, playing all the time in the car now.
Nice mix of different style music, it's not all "samey".
Reminds me a little of Chicane!

I love the funky beats, but still there is something missing...
Too much repeats is my first remark on this release, more funky rhythms would have been perfect!

Nevertheless, it has been played numerous times since I've bought it!

A different direction but still fantastic

This has to be album of the year so far.

A different direction slightly for Daft Punk but the class here shines through. It does take a few listens to get used to the fact that this is slightly different to their previous offerings, but give it time and plenty of listening and you will not be disappointed.

The quality of the melody writing here is something to savour... the collaborations also bring this album into its own... The live instruments also bring a new dimension to Daft Punks work here.

Definately buy this album!

bit disappointed. Not as good as previous works, no decent beats or party songs on this album, very slow.

  Total Shambles

They got soo many people to come in and work with them on this album. Everyone is saying oh yeah this is something different for them and their trying to bring life back into dance music.

Erm... every song sounds the same, it's as if the whole album is a build-up to the 2 good songs which are the ones Pharrell feature on. Same drumbeat most of the time and only now and again the session drummer breaks loose into some crazy solo.

The vocoder work is nice, but the instrumentation behind it almost feels so far back it's not even part of the song. Same bass grooves over again along with repetition in words over and over again. Seems like they are just proper milking it.

Apart from Get Lucky which is a class song, there is no life or soul to the whole album, they haven't done anything different, and it times i thought it was an album that could be produced by a 15 year old first time producer lol. As you can tell i thought the album was almost a complete disaster if it wasn't for the songs Pharrell was on.

I think the Tron Legacy album they did was one of the best produced i've ever heard imo and that was very minimal, but this new album felt like they did in 1 month and just rushed it out cause they had no more ideas left....

  Very Daft Record

It's more a chill record with some disco tunes. Don't expect any floorfillers at around 125 bpm. A rather disappointing record in all.
