Top 100 Music Reviewer

Anyone hoping for the catchier side to KT may not get into this,it's very much the gentle side of her.
Anyone who appreciates KT trying new ideas for new albums, will probably be very impressed by this, even if it takes several listens.
It is clearly written and sung with passion, each track comes with proof of someone clearly in love with their art. Just as you think you know what this album is all about,it takes a little twist in CRESCENT MOON and onwards, with a little faster and heavier music to surprise the ears. I would say it is a brilliant album, but I wanted to give it several listens before deciding if I loved it or not,i certainly do. This may not sell as well as her previous albums, regardless of the talent coming from it,because it just isn't what most would expect from her,but I hope this does do well and it becomes known as a top album by a top talent.

Doing what she wants, fine by me

This album lacks the commercial edge of her debut (no hit singles here) and at first does appear subdued, due to the sparse arrangement of voice and acoustic guitar/piano (as per her current tour, no backing band, catch her if you can).

A true artist, doing what comes naturally, rather than seeking commercial success.
It just needs a few listens to get under your skin.
Her voice has a new found warmth and maturity here.

What an exceptional talent she is, apparent right from the unforgettable 'Later' (with Jools) tv appearance, and the (still played to death by me) debut album.
Surely one of, if not the finest female singer/songwriter to have arrived on the scene in the last decade.
