I bought this cd/dvd as I liked tracks from Oxygene, I was a mazed by the sound coming from my 5.1 system but not happy with the re-work.
He has really ruined the true original sound.

Un-bel-ieve-able!!!

This is simply stunning. I have never heard or been immersed in sound like this. It's like floating, just allow yourself to be carried with the sounds that come out of everywhere.

Some Jarre classics like Oxygene 4, and Equinoxe 4 along with some new stuff makes up a great listen. Bit disappointed some of my other favourite tracks aren't on there (I'd love to hear Rendez Vous 2 in ss for example), but hopefully this will only serve as a starting point for Jarre to re-release some of his other classic albums as they are meant to be heard. The guy is 30 years ahead of his time.

Brilliant!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Jarre's greatest hits in 5.1 surround sound !!

To any Jarre fan, this album is a must as it contains re-worked classic tracks from his old albums and has some new Aero tracks on to split them up. The other fantastic feature is the whole album was recorded in 5.1 surround sound. Sadly I have not got the facility to experiance that, but after hearing it sound awesome in stereo reckon it must be a real treat for all you purests out there. Sadly the DVD has no visual treats, but just a pair of moving eyes that painfully doesn't blink for 75 minutes. This to me was a total waste of time, but Jarre states the eyes show emotions to each track. The album is definately worth buying even for just a greatest hits package.
