For those people who critize Panic for ditching the all to common 'emo band' label, should shut up.
Panic are now individual, do you see anyother bands who include country style and a guitar solo, NO. Panic manage to pull this off with ease.

To be honest, i'm glad they varied this album from "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out", no matter how great that album was, this new one is better and more random. I love how the songs are quite random but have possible meanings.

Buy this if you own a CD player because it will appeal to all music tastes :)

I know this 1 star rating might seem a little harsh but to be fair this album comes across as lazy, boring, cheese and overall weak. The only stand out track on this album is the catchy single "Nine In The Afternoon"

Like the reviewers below I am also a big fan of there debut but what happened? These days many of the bands today succeed in producing a second solid album that's usually take a band into a different direction, ok so obviously they'll lose and gain new and old fans ...BUT... I see no direction here it really sounds as though they wrote a batch of songs that didn't need much slaving over and creating a pointless record with a cheese carnival theme to it that IMO didn't do them justice.

Not heard previous album, only the singles released which didnt really do it for me, but after hearing 9 in the afternoon and That Green Gentleman I had to have this album and it has not disappointed. It is a complete change from before which will obviously upset some people, but also make them new fans. They have apparently been influenced by the beatles and beach boys which is fairly obvious, I think it will be THE album of the summer (if we get one!) Great choruses to sing along to, songs to listen to while having a water fight, driving on summer evenings, chilling out with friends, sunbathing. (Sorry, having a summer montage in my head - its raining here) Buy it you'll enjoy it!

Well to start with i think we all new something was wrong when they took the explanaination mark from their name (!). I guess that explaination mark meant upbeat rocky and different because this album is dismal boring and samey. The first album was fantastic i listened to it over and over again and still do but this one... omg if you loved the first one and are wanting more then avoid this. Its like a completely different band have stolen the name or something.

 Pretty. Bad.

I'm shocked that they changed their genre so much. Their first album is one of my favourite albums of all time! Sure, they're inspired by the beatles but if we wanted to hear the beatles we would buy one of their records not one of patd! Nine in the afternoon is quite a catchy tune but the rest are just bland...
