If you're a Whitesnake fan then you should already have this album, if not why not! There's not a bad song on it which makes a refreshing change. David's voice has improved with age, Doug's guitar playing is outstanding, add these to the rest of the band and you have the best Whitesnake album bar 1987. Seen them live in Birmingham, fab, so now I'm off to Nottingham to see them again.

Been a Coverdale fan whilst he was in Deep Purple & everything since. Absolutely love this CD. Doug Aldrich is a great writer & guitarist & suits this line up perfectly. The songs pay homage to earlier songs & blow todays 'kiddie' bands out of sight. Reb you are brilliant as well. Can't wait for your next release & please tour as a headliner you are so much better than Def Leppard. As they say all killer, no filler.

I must say that I was more than a little surprised when I sat down and listened to this album. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that it's vastly surperior to 'Slip of the Tongue' and almost as good as '1987'. Without a doubt it has the loudest and heaviest guitar sound I have ever heard on a Whitesnake album and at times, the guitarists evoke the sound and spirit of John Sykes and Steve Vai (if that is really a good thing!). That's not to say that their playing is unoriginal, just that it will please those who discovered the band via these late '80s albums and still rate them as the best.

On the whole, the songs are good, some extremely good, and compare well with the best of Whitesnake's back catalogue. David Coverdale's voice has changed a little over the years, well he is 56 now!, and although he may not quite have the range he used to, he's still capable of showing most of the new pretenders how it should be done!

All in all, an incredible album from one of the most dynamic line-ups of this band. I would recommend it, especially if you want to be pleasantly surprised!!!

Yes it is good and the old Whitesnake is back. I am going to see them at Birmingham and am looking forward to it. This is real music do not fade it out at the end. This is what pretend bands do.

Simply one of the greatest comback albums. The album gets better and better as it goes on. The last track maybe a little off but that doesnt make a difference to an outstanding album. The riffs are some of the most rocking out there right now. The box set comes with a poster and stickers which i think is a nice touch.

a fantastic long awaited album, full of the cliches that define whitesnake. the best songs are the title track; good to be bad, can you hear the wind blow, all for love and til the end of time. but to honest there are no weak tracks on this album. coverdales voice is definatly deeper and this album is much more guitar orientated than previous ones, but it shows that the band has progressed and the sound is even better than before. Go and buy it!!!

Definatly the best of the recent Whitesnake stuff, frickin awesome in fact.

This album consintrates more on the sheer greatness of the Guitar riffs instead of the whole album relyin on Dave's voice. Dave's voice has changed and I actually prefer it, more deeper and darker. Nice.

The only beef I have with this album (its just a silly point I have to make) is that only 2 or 3 songs have good endings, all the others just fade out and I think that sucks. Whoever mixed it must of been lazy or wanted the album to seem longer.

A must buy for any true rock fan

I am off to see the Whitesnake/Def Leppard tour in July, have loved a few of Whitesnake's classic hits over the years but not bought many of their studio releases. Really glad I got this though, there are some absolutely fantastic songs present, some are a little bit drab, but the good certainly outways the bad here, and the good is VERY good. A must have for anyone remotely interested in Whitesnake and any rock and roll enthusiasts out there. Stand out tracks for me are 'Summer Rain', ' All I Want, All I Need', 'Call On Me' and 'A Fool In Love'. Classic Whitesnake, Classic Rock...

Have waited an age for this 'proper' Whitesnake album. I am a huge fan, have been since 1987. This album reminds me of a mix of 1987, Slip... and Slide it in. There is no mistaking that it is a WS album. The guitaring is awesome and in places you'd think that John Sykes was back with the axe. Coverdale's voice isn't bad either. Going to see them in June and so will be glad to hear these tunes live along with the classics. Didn't give this a 5/5, as for that all tracks need to get a 10/10 in my book, but 90% of this album is killer.

I've been a fan of David Coverdale's since forever and I'm so glad he's come out of semi "retirement". What a brilliant, hard rocking album! Everything I love about Whitensake without any of the new, over-manufactured garbage of today.
Pure Class!
