- The Grammy Award-winning folk parody duo's first album is, for fans of their TV and Radio series, an essential collection of their witty songs. Starting as a musical stand-up act, the Kiwi comedians found wider fame and acclaim (and a deal with Sub Pop) after the success of their HBO TV series, from which the majority of these cleverly observed songs are taken. In particular, the hip-hop parody of 'Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros' and the faux-funk ode to male inadequacy 'Business Time' will impress. Also contains 'Au Revoir', not featured in the TV series.
- Foux du Fafa

Some songs missing - seek out "Folk the World" as well

Excellent album from the guys, the song production is top notch and a lot of work has clearly been put in to polish and buff the already excellent songs. However, some songs are missing from this album - most notably "If you're into it" and my personal favourite "Pencils in the wind (Love is like a roll of tape)". I would have sacrificed the final track for either of these.
If you can get hold of the elusive Live album "Folk the World", however, some of the missing songs can be found here, Pencils, Mermaid, and Albi (minus the elusive Jenny?) and some A-class different songs and banter. Unfortunatly the import market might be the best place for this.
In a way it's unfair to expect all of the songs jammed onto one album, as this one is already 14 full songs long. It's not a problem for me to wait for another album release, as the guys deserve all the money they can get for this comedy gold.
Some essential songs missing but still a find

'If that's what you're into' should have been included! The best song from the tv series and it was left out, shocking!
Pretty Good

All the songs are great, though the absence of certain songs brings it down. Also, Au Revoir is not much of a song, just them spouting some french stuff. However, still a great album and its good to have the studio versions of the songs as well. If you like FOTC, get it!
