Not What It Used To Be

This is not a CD which is meant to be a compilation of classics, and yet it is. Under Mark Doyle, it was a CD compilation used to explore new realms of house music and thus threw up fantastic tunes. Now, it's just a load of tracks that most already own. Again, the MOS screws things up. Personally, I wouldn't bother with this. All of the life from the old Hed Kandi has been sucked out. Go for the above mentioned Fierce Angel series, Doyle's current project for some new, funky tracks.
Same old same old....

Yet another lazy release from MOS with lazy track selection and lazy mixing, almost every track can be found on previous Hed Kandi CD's. Not been the same since Mark Doyle left and i would recommend his new project, and disc Fierce Disco II, every time.

Well for those of us that have been listening to this music since the start, it take me back to the good old days of bouncing about in clubs when it was at its height in 92 onwards, maybe one for the old timers and not the new generation of clubbers, this music was how it use to be and in my opinion the BEST era.

Gosh, what a refreshing selection of new, fresh and previously unheard of tunes - NOT! Have Hed Kandi been unable to make new music since the MOS take-over? There is so much great house out there at the moment, why O' why are we seeing the same re-mixed, re-sampled, re-everything on these Hed Kandi compilations.
Luckily we have the current Miami Music Conference for refreshing house music :+)
